W H O A R E T H E S E W I L D P E O P L E ! ! ?
Hi. My name is Paul and my wife is Shirley. We have three beautiful children or should I say young adults; Esther (18) Kezia (15) and Joshua (nearly 13). The last 12 years have been a heightened whirlwind of following after God's wild plans for us that have included Bible School at TACF in Toronto and 4 years on staff at the International House of Prayer in Kansas City USA. We have no natural charisma or titles of any great boast. But we have fallen in love with God. And our hearts are to spread a fiery devotion for God and godliness. We have amazing children that love God so much and if we can fire the next generation from our ceiling their floor will springboard them into perhaps being the ones that bring back Jesus on the face of the earth. Well a little more about our history.
Three years ago, God called us to return from The International House of Prayer and Missions Base in Kansas City to start a similar work in England. We were at the ministry base in the States for four years as a family and were transformed by teaching and passion, by clear messages about the end times, about intimacy and Jesus as Bridegroom. We grew in the gifts especially prophecy and healing and saw lives snatched from death and hearts taken from the arctic into the sunshine of God's love...I mean genuine fiery love for God.
We have had many encounters with God that prove He is not distant but wants to make known His friendship, adventures, personal plans for us as a family. On one occasion, God's glory came to us unexpectedly. We were on prophetic teams. During a two hour prophecy session everyone we ministered to cried. Even some big guys who at first were as hard as nails. The emotions of God were made known. It was intense. I was so filled with the Spirit that afterwards as my team prayed for me I fell to the floor and they left me in the room having turned off the lights.
That is when God came closer than I have ever experienced. It was terrifying yet wonderful. He confirmed a call to go to England to start a House of Prayer. But through this His real desire was expressed. I heard Him verbally say, "I want my people and my land back." I heard the Father say I will sing over you. I stumbled to my feet and wandered to the back of the main prayer room sitting to rest before going home. Suddenly two guys came up to me and began singing over me.
People began getting dreams of us leaving. One man saw us in a dream leave in 30 days. And that is exactly what happened without us configuring the days to fit that dream. We packed bags and returned to the UK, to Polzeath Cornwall to gather people to a sustained life of night and day prayer. And that's where we are still. We have connected with other houses of prayer and have good friendships developing with a number of churches in the area.

A leader at IHOP describes this early work as building a ship out at sea or a stable ministry. It feels rough and ugly at times but so far we have had amazing moments of experiencing amongst a small group of people the in breaking of His love, His heart and desires, His tangible support. A call like this costs. It costs on every level. Sometimes it feels like unspeakable joy and other times like unbearable pain. But we won't give up. His love flooding our hearts makes it worth it. You cannot match that with any other experience.
God gave a five year vision for establishing foundations. It requires outrageous faith, patience, and awareness that we are engaging in war for souls, for a generation, for the dream of God's heart to have a Bride for His Son and a family for the Father. Our hearts are to get so close to God that He imparts wisdom to work this ministry of JHOP out in a way He intends. I don't want to just copy another work or stray away from what we know is good or biblical. My confidence is in God who is on our side and in the Holy Spirit sent to lead us into all truth. I see in my eye and feel in my frame the reality of a Jeremiah burning company of people on fire for Jesus.
They will not be intimidated or bullied by religion or tradition, they will not be swayed by popular opinion or the loss of personal rights and possessions but love truth and stay pure. They will be prophetic and keep their ears obedient to the will of God through the power of the Holy Spirit. The Jesus flame will flash in their eyes. They will move in power and mercy deeds but sow their lives faithfully with the great intercessor into crying out night and day for the Kingdom of God to be established on earth as it is in heaven. Prayer is the only thing that will save a nation. The Joel company will voice God's heart and trigger fires, encouraging rain in a time of spiritual drought. We along with King David from the Bible want to have our land become a habitation not just a touch down for the power of God. We want HIm. He is too beautiful to leave at a distance. We love Him and want Him back with us.
We are excited because the greatness of God is going to land big time on Cornwall, South West England and the UK...if. It is conditional not a casual rescue. There has to be a cry - a represntation who say in summary 'we want you - we need you - come else we die.' The rescue of God in the UK is a desperate need when are nation faces pluralism, the crushing of Christianity, the deepening of a rebellion against God and His ways. The help of heaven is contended by an enemy that wants to stifle attempts to have our great God back in the weave of life and His Kingdom reign. The enemy will seek to interfere.
We cannot be naive or lethargic. Its a battle, feriocious. Real people hang in the balance of life and death. Its time to engage. There is mercy to be triggered from God's heart but only in response to the cry from earth amongst His people. History has proved this. It is for the spiritually violent and those who keep themselves out of evil, grounded in a sermon on the mount lifestyle, humble, passionate and obedient. Our hearts are to teach and train especially a youth generation though all ages too, setting them in place to change nations through all the end time traumas about to spread across the face of the earth.
We base it all on the experience and knowledge of the love of God that can save even the most broken heart and smashed up life or people group. He is indeed a beautiful God filled with kindness. But this is an urgent hour requiring a wake up call and violence in the form of acute obedience to the will of God. We are going to follow hard as passionaries and missionaries even on our own doorstep.
