Our Faith

 We Believe

We believe the Bible is God's revealed Word; an entire document that has no error or mistakes, being purposefully inspired by the Holy Spirit, and authoritative for us who submit to the Lordship of Jesus Christ; a source that offers continuing revelation for those who are willing to search it out through the assistance of the Holy Spirit.

We believe there is ONLY one God, the Creator and Sustainer of all life, eternally existent in three persons: the Father, His Son Yeshua (Jesus) and the Holy Spirit each of whom are knowable in their separate distinctiveness yet who operate in perfect heart and mind as One.

We believe that Jesus Christ is fully God and fully human and will be that way forever. We believe in His virgin birth and sinless life; in His miracles; in His substitutionary death for our sins; in His bodily resurrection from the dead; and in His ascension and exaltation to the right hand of the Father where He reigns as Lord and God, Bridegroom King and Judge.

We believe that all humankind are born in sin and that our only hope of salvation is through repentance and faith in Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of sins at which point we can receive the gift of eternal life and a future home with the triune God.

We believe in water baptism as the believer's public identification with Christ's death, burial, and resurrection and our co-union with Him, that this is a commanded requirement of dedication and discipleship affiliating ourselves to the following after of Jesus in our physical walk as much as our spiritual walk.

We believe that the Father's promise for all believers is to baptize us in the Holy Spirit to empower us for witness and ministry through the operation of His gifts and enable us to have cultivated intimacy than we can sustain faith and relationship for today but also in all the turbulent days of trauma about to rock the earth.

We believe in progressive sanctification of the believer whereby we are being transformed into the likeness of Christ and that though grace is offered to cover today, our strong call is in a sermon on the mount lifestyle where we co-operate evacuating all that threatens righteousness in our life and live in the obedience of purity and godliness.

We believe in the Lord's Supper as a remembrance of Jesus' suffering and death for our sins and as an expression of our shared life and communion with Him as our Savior and Lord.

We believe in the personal return of Jesus Christ to bring history to its appropriate redemptive conclusion, namely the reign of Jesus Christ over all nations 'on earth as it is in heaven.'

We believe that the redeemed of the Lord that live in union with God's purposes and friendship will live in a great city where God and man will dwell together in love and communion; and that the unredeemed will spend eternity separated from God in eternal punishment.
